Comms multimedia procedure

1. Purpose

This document is to be used for when multimedia content, i.e., images and videos, are to be submitted for publication on school website and/or other forms of school related publicity material.

2. Copyright

Upon releasing your uploaded content publicly (e.g., on the school website), where needed the comms team will get in touch to complete a copyright transfer form

3. How to

NOTE: before uploading, please make sure specification of your multimedia material conforms to that set in Section 4

3.1 Images

Images can be uploaded to Flickr by sending an email with a single image as attachment to the following address

become25cams@photos.flickr.com

with a subject line in the following pattern (variables in bold)

name tags: tag

where name is the name you want to assign to the image, tag must be an entry from one of the two tables below, detailed description for the image can go into main body of the email.

  1. Table 1 for tags used by general school staff
  2. Table 2 for tags used by research group representatives

3.1.1 Quick example

Submitting an image named “Test Image” for MMV means sending an email with that image as attachment to become25cams@photos.flickr.com with the subject line Test Image tag: mmv

3.2 Videos

Videos can be uploaded to the school Vimeo account by contacting SonG (yzs@eecs.qmul.ac.uk) and Ella (e.rice@eecs.qmul.ac.uk)

4. Specification:

spotlight (home page) 5 megapixels (16:9) high quality images to be submitted with a story – liaise with Karen (karen.shoop@eecs.qmul.ac.uk) prior to submission
