C4DM

C4DM have 14 servers in EECS including 1 dedicated file server, 6 compute nodes (4 with GPU co-processors) and several hosted web servers. They also have over 90 terabytes of data storage spit between dedicated file servers and SAN storage.

The C4DM research group has access to the following servers:

  1. bresaloa. Virtualisation host for soundsoftware.ac.uk. Bresaola is a Dell M610 blade which has 12GB of RAM and 2 quad core Xeons on which it hosts the Ubuntu 12.o4 VM sucuk. Bresaola was bought in 2010 and has no active warranty, it is managed by Chris Cannam (c.cannam@qmul.ac.uk).
  2. diderot. Virtual machine hosting the FAST website also known as www.semanticaudio.ac.uk. The website is WordPress and is managed by mark@mwstuart.com.
  3. elvira. Dan Stowell’s yanno.eecs.qmul.ac.uk “find chords in a youtube video” server. elvira is a VMWare virtual machine running Centos 6.8 with 1.5GB of RAM and 1 core on the “colo” VLAN. It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk.
  4. ehime. AllegroGraph Server for multitrack.eecs.qmul.ac.uk, a VMWare virtual machine with 1GB of RAM and 1 core (this is not enough RAM) running Centos 7.2. Ehime is on the DMZ VLAN, is managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk and maintained by Mariano Mora-Mcginity, Krishna Chandramouli also has access.
  5. epstein. Compute node with dual 8 core Xeons, an Nvidia K80 GPU and 64GB of RAM running Centos 7.2. It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk and is under warranty until September 2019. Epstein has space for 1 more passively cooled GPU.
  6. gormley. Dedicated mainly to the FAST project gormley is a compute node with dual 8 core Xeons, an Nvidia M60 GPU and 64GB of RAM running Centos 7.2. It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk and is under warranty until September 2019. Gormley has space for 1 more passively cooled GPU.
  7. hepworth. Compute node with dual 8 core Xeons, an Nvidia K40 GPU (provided by Dr. Stowell) and 96GB of RAM running Centos 7.2. It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk and is under warranty until September 2019. Hepworth has space for 3 more actively cooled GPU.
  8. kakapo. A NAT-ed virtualized web server host which  hosts citron, citroncrested, ecletus, fuertes, golden, mauritius, parrot, spix and unbrella web servers.  Kakapo is a Dell R710 purchased in 2009 with 24GB of RAM and 2 quad core Xeons, it has no active warranty. The hosting OS (Centos 5) is EOL in March of 2017. systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk manage the virtual platform while Chris Cannam (c.cannam@qmul.ac.uk) manages the virtual servers hosted on it.
  9. kapoor. Dedicated mainly to the FAST project kapoor is a compute node with dual 8 core Xeons, an Nvidia K80 GPU and 64GB of RAM running Centos 7.2. It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk and is under warranty until September 2019. Kapoor has space for 1 more passively cooled GPU.
  10. klf23. The “ILikeMusic” server which is on the EECS backend VLAN so it can host web sites (it’s not at the moment) and doesn’t have access to NFS shares. klf23 has 2 12 core Xeon CPU and 128GB of RAM. It has 10TB of un-allocated disk space and is under warranty until October 2017.  It’s managed by systems@eecs.qmul.ac.uk.
